WCC Vice President of Workforce Continuing Education Services and Community Engagement Renita Dawson received the 2026 Katrina V. Miller Administrator of the Year Award from the organization.
Dawson was named Administrator of the Year by the WCCAEOP and the NCAEOP District 12 in 2025, making her eligible for the award at the state level.
“I am humbled to be recognized by my peers at the state level,” said Dawson. “I am only as strong as the incredible team I work with, and they inspire me to reach higher every day. This award is a beautiful validation of my life’s work: the gift of serving others and helping our community thrive.”
During the conference, WCC Workforce Continuing Education Services Executive Assistant Linda Berard was installed as the next NCAEOP president. She will begin serving as president on May 1.
“I am deeply honored and grateful to serve as president of NCAEOP for the 2026–2027 term,” Berard said. “This organization means so much to me, and I do not take this responsibility lightly.”
Berard has served as WCCAEOP treasurer and president, NCAEOP District 12 secretary and president, and NCAEOP secretary and vice president.
The NCAEOP is a support organization for educational office personnel and administrators. It provides professional development opportunities, insurance, and scholarships to members, as well as a legislative platform to promote input into all educational matters in the state.
