FREMONT, NC – Fremont Daffodil Festival welcomed beautiful spring weather Saturday as crowds gathered early for one of the region’s most anticipated annual celebrations.
Vendors from across the area arrived early, setting up booths ahead of the festival’s opening ceremony. This year’s event featured more than 170 vendors, offering a wide variety of crafts, food, and local goods, creating a vibrant atmosphere throughout the day.
A highlight of the morning was the Keith Stewart Memorial Daffodil Dash 5K, which saw an impressive turnout of approximately 250 runners. Participants of all ages took to the course, making the race one of the festival’s most popular traditions.
Entertainment kicked off at noon with a performance by Band of Oz, drawing a lively crowd to the stage. The music continued throughout the afternoon, with additional performances keeping festivalgoers engaged and energized.
With near-perfect weather, strong participation, and a wide array of activities, this year’s festival once again showcased the community spirit and charm that make Fremont’s signature event a springtime favorite.
