March 12, 2026, 82, Goldsboro – Faye Deans Quinn, 82, passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, surrounded by the love of her family.
Faye was born in Wayne County on December 28, 1943, to the late Walter B. Deans and Edna Jones Deans. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Norman.
Faye faithfully served her community through her career with the United States Federal Government, retiring from the Finance Department at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base after many dedicated years of service.
Above all else, Faye’s life was rooted in her faith. She was a devoted member of Victory Free Will Baptist Church, and her love for the Lord guided the way she lived and cared for others. Her family knew her as a woman of quiet strength, kindness, and unwavering devotion.
Faye had a joyful spirit and loved the simple pleasures of life. She enjoyed dancing and listening to good music, and she never turned down an opportunity to go shopping—especially when it meant spending time with the people she loved. Family was the center of her world. Many treasured memories were made around her table, where she shared not only good meals but also laughter and love. Her family fondly remembers her as a wonderful cook whose kitchen was always a welcoming place.
Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart. Whether they were playing sports or participating in school activities, Faye could always be found in the stands, proudly cheering them on. She found great joy in traveling, which allowed her to explore new places while spending time with those she loved most. Trips to the beach were especially meaningful to her, where she enjoyed the peaceful beauty of the water. In quieter moments, she also enjoyed playing the card game canasta with family and friends.
Faye will be remembered as a loving wife, devoted mother, proud grandmother, and faithful friend whose life was defined by love for her family and faith in her Savior.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 14, 2026 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home. A service to celebrate Faye’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, 2026 at Victory Free Will Baptist Church in Goldsboro. Entombment will follow in Wayne Memorial Park. At other times, the family will be at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Kemp Lewis, 400 Pointe Drive, LaGrange.
She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Louis Quinn; her daughters, Kim Norman Johnson and husband, Ricky; Tracy Norman McKeel and husband, Ken; and Jackie Norman Lewis and husband, Kemp; her cherished grandchildren, Ashley Rosencrance (Tim), Bryce McKeel (Rachel), Tanner McKeel (Savannah), Addyson McKeel, Jackson Lewis (Catie), and Reece Lewis; her great-grandchild, Karson Rosencrance; her brother, W. B. “Benny” Deans, Jr. and wife, Shirley; as well as her stepchildren, Lori Quinn Mitchell and husband, Don; Joey Quinn and wife, Sharon; Teddy Quinn; and their families.
