GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Members of the Evergreen Garden Club of Goldsboro recently traveled to Philadelphia Flower Show in Philadelphia, one of the world’s premier horticultural events.
Hosted annually by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, the show is the nation’s largest and longest-running indoor flower exhibition. It draws visitors from across the country to experience elaborate garden displays, floral design exhibits, competitions, and educational programming led by top horticulture experts.
The trip was coordinated through Goldsboro travel advisor Mallory Dumond and organized by her executive assistant, Shae Garcia of Travelmation. Garcia assisted club members with travel arrangements and even surprised the group with an in-person visit during their time in Philadelphia.
“It was an honor to help create this experience for such a passionate group of garden club members who are dedicated to bringing beauty and environmental stewardship back to their own community,” Garcia said.
The Evergreen Garden Club is a local member of The Garden Club of North Carolina, which promotes horticulture, conservation, civic beautification, and environmental stewardship through education and community involvement.
Club members share a passion for gardening and enhancing their community, regularly participating in programs, projects, and educational opportunities that encourage appreciation of plants and the natural environment.
Their visit to the Philadelphia Flower Show offered valuable inspiration from world-class floral designers and horticulturists, while also providing the opportunity to connect with fellow gardening enthusiasts from across the nation.
