GOLDSBORO, N.C. — A man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a Goldsboro tobacco store earlier this week.
According to the Goldsboro Police Department, officers responded around 9:53 p.m. on March 12, 2026, to 1 Stop Tobacco, located at 200 N. Berkeley Blvd, after receiving reports of a robbery with a dangerous weapon.
Police say a man entered the business, brandished a handgun, and fled the scene with property from the store.
Following an investigation, detectives identified Kevin Debose, 30, of Winston-Salem, as the suspect. Authorities secured warrants for his arrest on multiple charges.
Debose was later taken into custody without incident by the King Police Department SWAT Team in King, North Carolina.
He is currently being held without bond pending his first court appearance.
Debose faces several charges, including robbery with a dangerous weapon, second-degree kidnapping, possession of a firearm by a felon, and possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
