February 21, 2026, 39, Goldsboro – Kim Marie Moreno, 39, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Wayne UNC Healthcare. Kim was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, to Patricia Marie Ellis Tripp and the late William Moreno on January 24, 1987.
Trained as a Certified Nursing Assistant, Kim provided care to the elderly, most recently working at Sutton’s Retirement Center. With a great love for car rides and traveling, she kept the roads hot as her children were growing up. Every Friday when the kids got out of school, a trip to the beach was a sure guarantee.
With an eye for art and the talent to match, Kim enjoyed doodling and coloring, creating many beautiful designs. Always outgoing and ever joyful, she enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest.
The family will honor Kim’s life in a private setting.
In addition to her mother, Kim is survived by her children, Teja Moreno-Blount (Caylum), Diamond Marie Edwards, and Andra Edwards; sister, Michelle Ellis (DJ); and niece and nephews, Jayden Ellis, Preston Ray Stocks, and Zoie Stocks.
