February 26, 2026, 76, Goldsboro – Deborah Davis Grimes, 76, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at her home with her son by her side.
Born in Wayne County on April 8, 1949, Deborah was the daughter of the late Wiley and Beulah Davis. She faithfully dedicated many years of service to Cherry Hospital before her retirement, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and commitment.
Deborah had a vibrant spirit and a deep love for life. She especially enjoyed shagging and listening to beach music, passions that often carried her to her favorite place—Myrtle Beach. The beach brought her peace and happiness, and many treasured memories were made there.
Above all, Deborah’s greatest joy was her family. She loved her son with all her heart and was incredibly proud of him. Being a grandmother was one of her most cherished roles, and her grandchildren brought immeasurable light to her life. She delighted in their accomplishments, treasured time spent with them, and never missed an opportunity to share how much she loved them. Her family was her heart, and her devotion to them was unwavering.
She is survived by her son, Scott Head; her grandchildren, Bradley Jordan Head and partner, Angela Hernandez, and Kennedi LeBlanc and husband, Collin; her chosen granddaughter, Ashley Kelly; her brother, Greg Davis and wife, Cindy; and her former husband, Timmy Grimes.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 5, 2026, from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a service to celebrate Deborah’s life at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel with Marty Massey officiating.
