February 18, 2026, 18, Princeton – Jaiden Wayne Tart, 18, of Princeton passed away at Duke University Hospital on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 surrounded by his family. Jaiden was born on June 14, 2007 in Johnston County to Travis Wayne Tart and Heather Dawn Lane Tart.
Jaiden loved his family, especially his mother, sister, Hailey and his canine companion, Roxy. He loved mud tires, gaming; especially his Xbox, GTA and Fortnite. He loved his friends and had a special bond with them. He was a quiet soul and he showed his emotions through his actions and pictures.
Jaiden had a lot of life in his years but not a lot of years in his life.
Jaiden is survived by his father, Travis Tart and wife, Elisabeth; mother, Heather Lane Tart of Pikeville; brother, Khamari Jones of Princeton; sisters, Hailey Tart, Sadie Tart, and Khloe Jones all of Princeton; paternal grandparents, Tony Tart (Debbie) of Princeton and Lisa Murphy; maternal grandparents, Ray and Faye Lane of Pikeville.
The funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 22, 2026 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home and Cremations with the Reverend Cliff Lewin officiating. The committal will be immediately after the service in Princeton Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Sunday, February 22, 2026 at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations.
