February 21, 2026, 76, Goldsboro – Danny Harold Walker, 76, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 21, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born in Clarksville, Tennessee on July 5, 1949, Danny was the son of the late Wilborn and Mable Walker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Walker, and his sister, Diana Walker Huff.
A proud patriot, Danny faithfully served his country in the United States Air Force. His time in service reflected his deep love for his nation and his strong sense of duty and honor. That same steadfast commitment carried into every area of his life — especially his devotion to his family. Danny was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend who found his greatest joy in those he loved. For 53 years, he shared a faithful and enduring marriage with his beloved wife, Josephine. His family was his greatest accomplishment and his proudest legacy.
Danny was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church, where he lived out his quiet faith through kindness, service, and encouragement to others.
A service to celebrate Danny’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 2, 2026, in the sanctuary of St. Luke United Methodist Church with Pastor Karl Grant officiating. The family will greet friends following the service at the church. Interment will follow at 12:00 noon in the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, with military honors.
He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 53 years, Josephine Walker; his sons, Ronnie Dale Mason, Danny Lee Walker, and Kirt Walker; his sister, Betty Lobdell; and several nieces and nephews who will continue to honor his legacy of love, loyalty, and strength.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Danny’s memory to St. Luke United Methodist Church, 1608 E. Pine Street, Goldsboro, NC 27530.
