February 19, 2026, 79, Seven Springs – Bobby Duncan, Jr., 79, passed away late Thursday evening at his home. Bobby is survived by his loving wife Mary Young Duncan; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ruth Carlyle and husband Larry, of Seven Springs; and a son and daughter-in-law, Bobby Duncan, III, and his wife Amanda of Statesville, NC. Bobby is also survived by his beloved grandchildren; Rebecca Brown, Amber Brown, Parker Duncan, and Jackson Duncan; and two great-grandchildren, Kinsley Grace Brown and Jax Outlaw; and a brother, Danny Duncan and his wife Iris of Seven Springs.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; Bobby Duncan, Sr., and Thelma Tillman Duncan.
Bobby spent his career with Wayne Memorial Hospital as a Computer Technician. Bobby had great knowledge in the area of technology and computers and excelled in keeping the computers up and running in the health care industry. Bobby also loved his family; while computers and technology were almost a pass-time for Bobby, he also loved to fish and go four-wheeling whenever the opportunity allowed. Bobby had been raised on the farm and worked in all the jobs including tobacco as a young man. He knew full well the meaning of hard work.
A memorial service will be held in Bobby’s memory on Monday, February 23, at two o’clock in the afternoon in the Chapel of Tyndall Funeral Home.
The family will greet friends immediately following the service.
