Sawyer is back in the spotlight as the WGBR Pet of the Week powered by Jackson & Sons — and he’s more than ready to find his forever home.
This handsome bully-mix, estimated to be between one and two years old, has quickly stolen the hearts of staff and volunteers at the Wayne County Animal Shelter. With his fawn-colored coat, soft gray accents, and adorable white bib down his chest, Sawyer turns heads — but it’s his sweet personality that truly shines.
Sawyer came to the shelter in January after being injured in an accident. Thanks to great care and lots of love, he has fully recovered and is now healthy, happy, and eager to start his next chapter.
He’s well-behaved, calm, and friendly — the kind of dog who will happily be your loyal sidekick for walks, couch time, and everything in between. Staff says while they’ll be sad to see him go, nothing would make them happier than seeing Sawyer in a loving home where he can thrive.
If you’ve been thinking about adding a four-legged family member, Sawyer could be the perfect fit.
And while Sawyer is in the spotlight, remember there are many other dogs and cats at the shelter still waiting for their chance at a forever family.
