Mount Olive — The University of Mount Olive men’s track & field team has reached a new milestone, earning a No. 3 ranking in the Southeast region for the first time this season.
The ranking places Mount Olive third among 30 teams across the Southeast and marks the highest position among the 12 Conference Carolinas programs. The Trojans trail only Wingate and Carson-Newman in the regional standings.
The top five teams in the Southeast region are Wingate, Carson-Newman, Mount Olive, Converse, and Anderson.
The achievement comes as the Trojans prepare for the upcoming Conference Carolinas Championships, set to take place in just a few weeks. Team officials say the ranking reflects the athletes’ consistent performances throughout the season and positions Mount Olive as a strong contender heading into postseason competition.
