
GOLDSBORO, N.C. — The Goldsboro Police Department has announced the promotions of two veteran officers, highlighting the department’s continued commitment to strong leadership and professional development.
Captain Josh Stine has been promoted to the rank of Major and will be assigned to the Operations Bureau. In his new role, Major Stine will oversee the department’s day-to-day operational functions, ensuring effective service delivery and officer readiness.
Department officials say Major Stine brings extensive experience, proven leadership, and a strong commitment to officer safety and community service. His promotion reflects confidence in his ability to lead critical operations and support the department’s mission.
In addition, Captain Jason Adams has been promoted to Deputy Chief. A long-serving member of the Goldsboro Police Department, Deputy Chief Adams is recognized for his leadership and deep institutional knowledge, which officials say will provide continuity and stability as he steps into an executive role.
The department noted that Adams’ promotion underscores its focus on developing leaders from within and maintaining experienced, consistent leadership for both officers and the community.
