December 25, 2025, 10, Goldsboro – Ethan Harper Stone, age 10, passed away on Christmas Day, joining his Pop for the perfect Christmas night celebration. Born in Wilmington, NC, Ethan was the son of Royal and Jerianne Stone. Ethan was preceded in death by his Pop, Rev. Dr. Jerry A. Jackson, who loved Ethan as much as he loved life itself.
Ethan loved being outside and was the light of everyone’s life. He was the happiest kid of all time and was a big fan of Mickey Mouse, Scout, Ironman, school buses, dogs and nurses. Known as “Doodle” “Doodle Bop”, “Dude”, “Bubba” and “Stink”, Ethan was a miracle child that made everyone around him happier.
A service to celebrate the life of Ethan Harper Stone will be held on Tuesday, December 30th at 2:00 pm at Shumate-Faulk Faulk Funeral Home with Rev. Matt Seals officiating. The family will greet friends on Tuesday at the funeral home immediately following the service at the funeral home. A private burial will follow in Providence Church Cemetery.
In addition to his parents, Royal and Jerianne Stone, Ethan is survived by his sister, Ellie Stone; his paternal grandparents, Byron Samuel Stone, Jr. and Kathleen Stone; a paternal great grandmother, Wootzie Stone; his maternal grandmother, Annette Jackson; his aunts, Stephanie Stone, Cassidy Stone, Courtney Marcley and her husband, Eric; Doris Munoz and her husband, Robert; along with numerous cousins.
