GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Three people were injured in a shooting Monday evening in Goldsboro, according to the Goldsboro Police Department.
Officers responded before 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 29 to a reported shooting in the area of Tanglewood Mobile Home Park off Central Heights Road. When officers arrived, they discovered that three individuals had sustained gunshot wounds during the incident.
One victim was located at the scene at Tanglewood Mobile Home Park, while a second victim was found nearby in the area of TJ Maxx on Berkeley Boulevard. Both of those victims were reported to be in serious condition. A third victim was transported to a local hospital by private vehicle and is listed in critical condition.
Investigators and the department’s Crime Scene Unit are actively working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Police said the incident appears to be isolated and that there is no ongoing threat to the public.
