December 20, 2025, 65, Wilson – Robert Lee Glover, 65, of Wilson departed this earthly life Saturday, December 20, 2025 at his home.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Eureka Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
Robert was born in Wayne County on August 11, 1960 to the late Bobby Lee Glover and Henrietta Sauls Glover. He retired from Bridgestone Firestone in Wilson after 30 years of dedicated service. Robert was a huge sports fan who proudly cheered for the Boston Red Sox and the Dallas Cowboys. He also was a longtime season ticket holder for the UNC Tar Heels. Above all, he deeply loved his family.
He leaves to cherish his memories one brother, Dean Glover and wife, Celeste of Clayton; one nephew, Harrison Glover of Clayton; one niece, Meredith Glover of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and his beloved cat, Taz.
Services entrusted to the care of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home, 102 N. Pine Street in Fremont.
