GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Goldsboro police are investigating a shooting that left a 19-year-old man seriously injured late Friday night at a local convenience store.
According to the Goldsboro Police Department, officers responded to a reported shooting at approximately 11:07 p.m. on Dec. 26, 2025, at the Sheetz located at 1003 N. Spence Avenue.
Emergency Medical Services arrived on scene and transported the victim to UNC Health Wayne. Due to the severity of his injuries, the victim was later airlifted to ECU Health in Greenville, where he is currently listed in serious condition.
The victim has been identified as Jeffery Wayne Moses Jr., a 19-year-old Black male from Dudley.
The Goldsboro Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division and Crime Scene Unit responded to the scene and are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting. No additional information has been released at this time.
