GOLDSBORO, N.C. — The Goldsboro Police Department is investigating an incident involving a ShotSpotter alert and a reported robbery on East Ash Street late Thursday evening.
According to police, officers were dispatched at approximately 8:04 p.m. on Dec. 26, 2025, after ShotSpotter detected possible gunfire in the area of the 700 block of East Ash Street. While officers were en route, an additional call was received reporting that the KFC restaurant at that location had just been robbed.
The Goldsboro Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division and Crime Scene Unit responded to the scene and are actively working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
No additional details, including information on suspects or potential injuries, have been released at this time. The investigation remains ongoing.
