MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. — The Town of Mount Olive has announced holiday closures and modified service schedules in observance of the Christmas holiday.
Town offices will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 24; Thursday, Dec. 25; and Friday, Dec. 26, 2025. Offices will reopen on Monday, Dec. 29, 2025, at 8 a.m.
The Town of Mount Olive Recyclable Center will also be closed during the holiday period and is scheduled to reopen on Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2025, at 8 a.m.
Household garbage collection will operate on an adjusted schedule. Thursday’s route will be collected on Friday, Dec. 26, while Friday’s route will be collected on Saturday, Dec. 27.
Yard waste collection will also follow a modified schedule. Monday and Tuesday routes will be collected on Monday, Dec. 22, while Thursday and Friday routes will be collected on Tuesday, Dec. 23.
Town officials reminded residents that in the event of a water or sewer emergency during the holiday closure, residents should call 919-658-5031, option 0, to be connected to non-emergency dispatch.
