GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Three juveniles have been charged in connection with the fatal shooting of a 13-year-old girl on Alpha Court, according to an update released by the Goldsboro Police Department.
Officers initially responded to reports of shots fired in the 200 block of Alpha Court at approximately 4:35 p.m. on Dec. 21, 2025. Upon arrival, officers located a 13-year-old female suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Wayne County EMS responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.
As the investigation progressed, police identified three juvenile suspects on Dec. 22. All three were charged with first-degree murder and felony conspiracy.
Police said the suspects — a 15-year-old male and two 16-year-old males, all from Goldsboro — were arrested without incident. They were transported to the Pitt Regional Juvenile Detention Center in Greenville, where they are being held pending their first court appearance.
The Goldsboro Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division and Crime Scene Unit continue to investigate the case. Authorities stated the investigation remains ongoing and additional information will be released as it becomes available and appropriate.
