Frank Joseph “Frankie” Lettera, 45, of Goldsboro, passed away peacefully at Kitty Askins on December 14, 2025. He lived a long, brave life with a chronic genetic syndrome and will be missed by many. He is now made whole in the Presence of His Savior, Jesus.
Frankie loved the color yellow and apple pie. He was an old soul who enjoyed cooking shows and classic Western movies. He enjoyed all types of music and loved to sing; he sang Christmas carols with his Aunt Theresa recently. He was a protective brother to his sister Jessica, and for those who were close to him, he was able to tell them all that he loved them. He attended New Hope Church.
A native of Ocean County, NJ, Frankie enjoyed many years at day programs in NJ and then NC, where he met friends and was taken care of by many wonderful people. Special thanks to Ms. Tatanesha, Sheena, Dinesha, and Hazel of A Caring Heart Case Management in Goldsboro for their affection and care of Frankie all the years he lived in NC with his family.
Frankie was predeceased by his father, Frank Paul Lettera, his stepfather Thomas Gibbons, and his grandparents. He is survived by his mother Linda Gibbons, sisters Anna Lettera and Jessica Lettera, Uncle Joe, Aunt Theresa, and Cousin Emily Flynn, and Uncles Kevin and Michael Gibbons, as well as cousin Kevin Gibbons, wife Nicole, and great cousins Zachary and Logan.
