Goldsboro, N.C. — The 2025 Greater Neuse FCA Winter Classic tipped off this week at C.B. Aycock High School, bringing together eight area high school boys’ basketball teams for three days of competitive holiday tournament action.
The men’s tournament, hosted by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), runs Dec. 20, 22 and 23 and features Spring Creek, Eastern Wayne, James Kenan, Wayne Prep, North Duplin, Princeton, Southern Wayne and Wayne Country Day.
Day 1 action showcased several decisive performances and tightly contested matchups. Eastern Wayne opened the tournament with an 80–46 victory over Spring Creek. Wayne Prep edged James Kenan in a close contest, 58–56, while Princeton defeated North Duplin 62–44. Wayne Country Day closed out the first day with a 72–61 win over Southern Wayne.
Tournament play resumes with a full slate of games on Day 2, beginning at 2 p.m. North Duplin will face Southern Wayne in the opening matchup, followed by Spring Creek vs. James Kenan at 3:30 p.m.
The evening session will feature the tournament semifinals, with Princeton taking on Wayne Country Day at 5:30 p.m., followed by a highly anticipated matchup between Eastern Wayne and Wayne Prep at 7 p.m.
The Greater Neuse FCA Winter Classic continues through Dec. 23, offering fans an opportunity to enjoy exciting high school basketball while supporting FCA’s mission of faith and athletics. All games are being played at C.B. Aycock High School, with Game 1 tip-off each day scheduled for 2 p.m.
