December 5, 2025, 69, Smithfield — Reginald Gearl Pilkington, 69, of Smithfield, passed away at his home on Friday, December 5, 2025.  He was born in Johnston County on July 21, 1956 to the late James Marshall Pilkington and Clara Rachel Cook.  He is also preceded in death by a brother; J.M. Pilkington and sister; June Elizabeth Fulkerson.

Reginald is survived by sons, Joseph Gearl Pilkington and wife Jennifer of Smithfield, Joshua Eric Pilkington and wife Elizabeth of Princeton, Jeffery Allen Moore and wife Lori of Princeton; brothers, Bo Andrew Fulkerson of Smithfield and Johnny Tamridge Pilkington of Lillington; sisters, Rachel Delores Bryan and Callie Laverne Pilkington; and 5 grandchildren.

There will be a private Memorial Service at a later date.
