Wayne County, N.C. — The Wayne County Clerk’s Office is closing today at 4 p.m. due to inclement weather and will operate on a delayed schedule Tuesday morning.

Officials say the Clerk’s Office will reopen at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, December 9. Small Claims cases scheduled before 10:30 a.m. should report at 10:30 a.m., with all other cases proceeding as scheduled.

Superior and District courts will also begin at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Jurors summoned for the week of December 8, 2025, are instructed to report at 10 a.m. to the Jury Pool Room located on the third floor of the Wayne County Courthouse.

Officials advise residents to use caution while traveling and to monitor for any further updates as winter weather conditions develop.
