Linda Harral

November 25, 2025, 83, Mount Olive —

Linda Harral, 83, died on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, surrounded by family, after sustaining injuries in a car collision. Born in Fort Worth, TX, she was a daughter of the late Virgil Aderholdt and Faye Rothlis Aderholt. She was both an alumni and fan of the Texas A&M Aggies. She taught seventh grade science, was a Palmer Method hand-writing consultant, and later taught English as a second language at Tri-County Technical College in Pendleton, SC.

She was married to Coy Harral for fifty-eight wonderful years until his death in 2020. She made being a military spouse look easy, and enjoyed living in different parts of the United States. She and her family have happy memories of living in Washington state and in beautiful San Diego, CA. She and Coy owned six dogs during their life together; all of these dogs enjoyed long lives, with the oldest one, a Cairn Terrier, living to be seventeen years old.

Linda was a master level quilter. She was also a skilled pianist, and was a church pianist at Pendleton Second Baptist Church for several years. She enjoyed traveling, and took many trips with her good friend Kathryn Smith, including a trip to Paris. In recent years she most enjoyed being a great-grandmother. She and her daughter had moved to Mt. Olive in 2024 to be closer to family. Here she joined Eureka Christian Church to continue her worship of her Lord and Savior and also found new friends there.

She is survived by two loving sisters, Susie Bolton and Glenda Bowen; her daughter, Connie Lisa Harral Asad, with whom she shared a close friendship; her granddaughter Frances Tara Phelps McTee (Nick); her great-grandson Barrett; family friend Arafat Asad; and several nieces and nephews. Her survivors also include two beloved dogs, a rat terrier named Betsy and a Havanese named Lenore.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 3, at 2 p.m. at Eureka Christian Church Cemetery, in the Dobbersville community of Mount Olive.
