WCC’s Holloman Joins NC Community College Master Instructor Program

GOLDSBORO, N.C. – Wayne Community College Mathematics Instructor Katie Holloman has been accepted into the 2026 North Carolina Community College Master Instructor (NC3MI) Program.

The NC3MI Program recognizes and develops exemplary teaching across the state’s 58 community colleges. Led by the North Carolina Community College System (NCCCS), it provides a guided, hands-on experience for educators to sharpen their craft, learn with peers, and model excellent teaching.

Participants explore evidence‑based teaching strategies, implement them with students, reflect on impact, and contribute to a statewide community of practice. Graduates of the program earn recognition as “Master Instructors” within the NCCCS.

Holloman was nominated by WCC leaders to join the NC3MI Program and is one of 36 instructors selected for the program’s third cohort.

“I’m thrilled and grateful to join the NC3MI cohort,” Holloman said. “This is an incredible opportunity to grow, deepen my craft, be challenged, and apply fresh, intentional, student-centered strategies that spark confidence, curiosity, and meaningful learning into my courses.”
