It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Rebecca Anne Teal, at the age of 71 on November 12, 2025, at Goldsboro Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.   She was a cherished mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Born on January 30, 1954, in Albany, Georgia, Rebecca was the beloved cornerstone of her family. Though unmarried, she was a fiercely dedicated and loving single mother, who raised her children with strength, grace, and unwavering support. Her life was a testament to resilience, as she navigated challenges with determination.

Rebecca found happiness in life’s simple pleasures, enjoying shopping, cooking, watching English’s tv series, and spending time with her grandchildren. Her legacy of love and strength endures through her family.

The family expresses gratitude to the staff at the Goldsboro rehabilitation and healthcare center for their care.

Rebecca is survived by her children, Chris Teal and wife Nicole, Morgan Teal and partner Chad Wade; grandchildren, Jamie Jackson and partner Christian Daniels, Eli Wade; great granddaughter Marina Belle Daniels; and siblings, Paul Hayes and wife Leary, Brian Hayes and wife Barbara. She was predeceased by her parents, Colonel Homer Hayes and Mildred Hayes, and granddaughter, Faith Nicole Rodgers.
