Mrs. Bennett is survived by a son, Thomas Edward “Tommy” Bennett, Jr. of Mount Olive; a daughter and son-in-law, Sandy Bennett Roberts and W. R. Roberts of Faison; twin granddaughters, Anna Bennett and Ashley Bennett, both of Mount Olive; a grandson, Hayden Roberts of Faison; a sister, Barbara King “Dink” Paige of Warsaw; a foster-son, Jesse Tolbert of Kinston; several nieces and nephews, to include a special niece, Joannie Nunn of Faison.

Mrs. Bennett was a long time member of Northeast Original Free Will Baptist Church where she had taught Sunday School, had been active in the Ladies Auxiliary, and led the Get-Together Club for many years. She enjoyed singing, doing crafts, painting, styling hair, and spending special times with her family whom she loved so much.

She lived a long and fulfilling life, one pleasing to God, was kind and thoughtful to those around her, and having been married to Tom, a military man, she had great respect for our nation’s veterans and service men and women and supported their causes as much as she could.

As her eyes closed in death, she heard her Master say, “Well done, thou good and faifthful servant.”
