November 11, 2025, 69, Goldsboro —
Jimmy Ray Ham departed this life at his home, surrounded by family, on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. Jimmy never gave up his fight against cancer. Even through his own challenges, he always made sure his family and friends were doing well—and that they had plenty to eat.
Born to the late Eugene and Dollie Langston Ham, Jimmy was the youngest of ten siblings.
From an early age, Jimmy was no stranger to hard work. He held many jobs over the years—from working on farms and in construction to driving 18-wheelers. He eventually became the proud owner of Hammer Down Trucking, and he continued working right up until the day he was admitted to the hospital.
Jimmy enjoyed many hobbies, from searching for treasures at yard sales to casting a line at his favorite fishing spots. His greatest passion, though, was racing go-karts and cars alongside his son, Cameron, and daughter, Jeannette. No one was ever quite sure who was happier taking the checkered flag—Jimmy or Cameron.
Jimmy is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Bolivia Ham; daughter, Jeannette Ham Lonas (Eric); son, Cameron Ham; grandsons, Cody Lonas and Wyatt Ham; and great-granddaughter, Eden. He is also survived by his sisters, Dottie Littleton (Donnie) and Pauline Jones; brother, Ronnie Ham (Kathy); his special fur babies, Chief and Marty; as well as many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews whom he loved dearly.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.
