November 10, 2025, 67, Seven Springs –

Ezrail (Buck) Simpson Jr., age 67, of Seven Springs, passed away peacefully on November 10th, Monday morning, in his sleep.

Buck was born in Watertown, New York, on July 24th, 1958, to the late Ezrail Paul Simpson and Sherrie Schultz Simpson.

He graduated from Lafargeville High School in New York in the class of 1977. He then joined the Navy right afterwards as a hydraulic mechanic. After getting out of the Navy, he then settled in North Carolina.

He enjoyed his family, his dogs and always working with his hands. Buck will be remembered for many things as time goes on, but we will never forget his smile, his laugh and how he never stopped moving, whether it was dancing or a new project. There was never a project he couldn’t complete, and there was never less than one he had to do.

Cherishing his memories is his wife, Juanita Moody; his daughter, Kimberly Lisa Simpson; his son, Brad Paul Simpson and his wife, Tessie L. Simpson;  his four sisters, Susan Chambers, Marian Aldrich, Tina Millet and Lorrie Chambers; his seven grandchildren, Anthony Zimmerman, Erin Zimmerman, Jason Zimmerman, Cody Simpson, Jacob Simpson, Jonathan Simpson and Lillian Simpson. He will also be remembered by all of his nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and close friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his older sister, Yvonne J. Ayen.

A remembrance of life will be held at his home in Seven Springs on Saturday evening with visiting hours from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Please contact his daughter, Kimberly Simpson at 919-738-0516 for more information.
