Cary Man Arrested in Connection with October Shooting

GOLDSBORO, N.C. — A Cary man has been arrested in connection with an October shooting that left a Goldsboro man critically injured, according to the Goldsboro Police Department.

On October 11, 2025, around 10:37 p.m., officers responded to a disturbance call in the 600 block of Sherard Court. When police arrived, they found 29-year-old Da’Shaun Tyree Webb suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Wayne County EMS transported Webb to UNC Health Wayne, and he was later transferred to ECU Health Medical Center in critical condition.

The Goldsboro Police Department’s Investigative Services Bureau and Crime Scene Unit responded and launched an investigation.

Following the investigation, police obtained warrants on October 14 for 20-year-old Shaad Harper of Cary, North Carolina. Harper was charged with attempted first-degree murder, possession of a firearm by a felon, and discharging a firearm into occupied property.

Harper was arrested on November 11 by members of the Raleigh Police Department and taken into custody at the Wake County Jail, where he is being held pending his first court appearance.

The investigation remains active.
