The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Greene County man in connection with a September break-in at a residence on N. Beston Road.
Deputies say they received a report of a breaking and entering on September 16, 2025, where several items were reported stolen. During the investigation, one of those items was discovered listed for sale on Facebook Marketplace.
Detectives traced the item back to 40-year-old Michael Christopher Beamon of Greene County. According to investigators, Beamon had sold the stolen property to a local salvage company, and it could not be recovered.
Following their findings, detectives obtained warrants charging Beamon with Obtaining Property by False Pretense (Felony) and Possession of Stolen Goods (Misdemeanor).
On November 1, 2025, Beamon was located and arrested by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office and served with the outstanding warrants. He was taken to the Greene County Detention Center and held on a $7,500 secured bond.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office thanked the Greene County Sheriff’s Office for its assistance. The investigation remains ongoing.
