Tobacco Farm Life Museum to Celebrate Autumn with Free Harvest Festival

WAYNE COUNTY, N.C. — Families and history enthusiasts are invited to experience a day of traditional fall festivities as the Tobacco Farm Life Museum hosts its annual Harvest Festival on Saturday, November 8, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The free community event promises a blend of hands-on activities, historic demonstrations, and seasonal entertainment on the museum’s grounds at 709 North Church Street in Kenly. Visitors can expect to see antique tractors on display while participating in autumn-themed crafts and games throughout the day.

Historic demonstrations will showcase traditional skills including woodworking and blacksmithing, offering attendees a glimpse into the craftsmanship of earlier generations. Local organizations will also be present with informational tables, providing resources and connections to the community.

The Tobacco Farm Life Museum, operated by the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, offers year-round free admission to both its indoor exhibits and outdoor grounds. The museum preserves and presents the agricultural heritage of North Carolina’s tobacco farming tradition.
