June Perry Martin, 69, passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 19, 2025. June was born in Wayne County on December 18, 1955, to Elwood Dwight “Sam” Perry and the late Marie Barrow Perry. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Sandy Perry.

June worked for many years with Cherry Hospital. She cherished her family deeply, and time spent with them brought her great joy.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the home of Jennifer and Michael Shafer, 226 Combs Road, Goldsboro. A graveside service celebrating June’s life will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in Pikeville Cemetery, with Kali Kasulis presiding.

June is survived by her daughter, Amanda Jackson and husband, Romel; grandchildren, Cameron Wade, Jamaal Ferguson, and Nakiahya Jackson; father, Sam Perry; sister, Bonnie Howell and husband, Mark; brother, Dwight Perry and wife, Lavena; and several nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.
