Goldsboro Domestic Disturbance Results in Stabbing, Arrest

GOLDSBORO, N.C. — A 26-year-old Goldsboro man is facing felony charges following a domestic disturbance that left another man with multiple stab wounds Thursday afternoon.

Officers with the Goldsboro Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance on Day Circle at approximately 4:31 p.m. on Oct. 17, 2025. Upon arrival, officers discovered that the victim, Jaron Hardee, 26, of Goldsboro, had already been transported by private vehicle to UNC Health Wayne, where he was being treated for multiple stab wounds.

The Criminal Investigations Division was called to the scene and launched a follow-up investigation. Through the course of the investigation, detectives identified a suspect in connection with the incident.

Rupert Wicks, 26, of Goldsboro, was subsequently arrested and charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury, a felony offense.

The investigation into the incident remains ongoing. Authorities have not released additional details about the nature of the domestic disturbance or the current condition of the victim.
