WAYNE COUNTY, N.C. — A local vape shop owner faces multiple drug charges following a months-long investigation by the Goldsboro/Wayne County Drug Task Force.
Michael Ray Goodman, 26, was arrested October 8 and charged with nine drug-related offenses stemming from alleged marijuana distribution at his business, 7 Springs Smoke and Vape Store in Seven Springs.
The investigation began in April 2025 after the Drug Task Force received complaints about drug activity at the establishment. Investigators identified Goodman as the business owner and allegedly determined he was supplying marijuana and THC products throughout Wayne County.
During the course of the investigation, law enforcement conducted multiple controlled purchases from the smoke shop. Based on evidence gathered, investigators executed a search warrant at the business in July 2025.
The search yielded several pounds of suspected marijuana, according to authorities. Samples of the seized material were sent to an independent laboratory for analysis, which confirmed the substance was marijuana.
Goodman faces four counts of Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana, four counts of Maintaining a Store for Controlled Substances, and one count of Sell Marijuana. He is currently being held without bond.
The investigation demonstrates ongoing efforts by local law enforcement to combat illegal drug distribution in Wayne County.
