NC AgVentures Announces Grant Opportunity for Family Farms Across North Carolina

Program to Award Minimum of 50 Grants to Support Agricultural Innovation

WAYNE COUNTY, N.C. – NC AgVentures, an NC State Extension program, has announced a new grant opportunity designed to support family farms throughout North Carolina. The competitive grant program offers funding for agricultural projects aimed at increasing farm profitability through diversification, improvement, or expansion initiatives.

Funding Details

The program will award grants of up to $10,000 to independent family farms and non-profit community organizations that work directly with family farms. Sponsored by the NC Tobacco Trust Fund Commission, NC AgVentures has committed to awarding a minimum of 50 grants through this funding cycle.

The program represents an important opportunity for producers considering diversification, improvement, or expansion of their farm operations.

The grant program is open to family farms located in 46 counties across North Carolina, including: Alamance, Alexander, Alleghany, Anson, Ashe, Cabarrus, Caswell, Catawba, Chatham, Davidson, Davie, Durham, Edgecombe, Franklin, Forsyth, Gaston, Granville, Greene, Guilford, Halifax, Harnett, Iredell, Johnston, Lincoln, Martin, Mecklenburg, Nash, Northampton, Orange, Person, Pitt, Randolph, Rockingham, Rowan, Sampson, Stanly, Stokes, Surry, Union, Vance, Wake, Wayne, Wilson, Wilkes, Warren, and Yadkin.
