GOLDSBORO, N.C. – The Housing Authority of the City of Goldsboro (HACG) will host an information and interest meeting for local youth interested in participating in a regional basketball and cheerleading competition.
The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 24th at 5:00 PM at the West Haven/Dupont Center. The session will provide details about the upcoming SERC-NAHRO Basketball and Cheer Competition and allow interested participants to ask questions about the program.
The opportunity is open to boys and girls ages 12-18 who either live in HACG housing or attend the Boys & Girls Club of Wayne County. The competition represents a chance for local youth to showcase their athletic and performance skills on a regional stage.
The 2026 SERC Basketball and Cheer Competition will take place January 16-18, 2026, in Bessemer, Alabama, hosted by the Bessemer Housing Authority. The multi-day event brings together young athletes from housing authorities across the Southeast region.
