September 10, 2025, 61, Goldsboro —

James Jeffery Edwards, 61, of Princeton, passed away Wednesday, at Duke Hospital.  He was born January 21, 1964 to James Phillip Edwards and Betty (Faye) Worley Edwards in Johnston County.  

The visitation for the family will be held Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 2:30pm-4:00pm at Casey Funeral Home & Cremations with the funeral following at 4:00pm.  The service will be conducted by Reverend Shawn Willis and Reverend Percy Coleman.  The committal will be held Sunday, September 14, 2025, at 1:00pm in the Progressive Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Jeff enjoyed many things during his life here on earth.  Whether it was riding his four-wheeler, driving his car around and blowing his horn at his friends or cutting grass, he always had a big smile on his face.

Helping his daddy and fishing with Kent brought him many days of contentment.  He enjoyed listening to his music.  Jeff enjoyed attending church and singing in the choir.  His love for his family was very important to him as much as they loved and cared for him.  We will miss him very much.

He is survived by his parents, James Phillip and Betty (Faye) Worley Edwards; a brother, Willard Kent Edwards and fiancée Joannie Langston.

Although flowers are welcomed the family suggest that contributions be made to Progressive Presbyterian Church, 3790 Progressive Church Rd, Princeton, NC 27569.
