WAYNE COUNTY, N.C. — The Wayne County Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Agriculture Breakfast on Tuesday, October 7th, from 8-10 a.m. at the Maxwell Center, recognizing the significant economic contribution of the county’s agricultural sector.
The event will celebrate an industry that employs more than 9,000 people and generates approximately $1 billion in annual economic impact for Wayne County, demonstrating agriculture’s substantial role in the local economy.
Annual Awards to Recognize Industry Leaders
The breakfast will feature the presentation of two prestigious awards: the Ag Advocate of the Year and Ag Producer of the Year. These honors recognize individuals who have made exceptional contributions to advancing agricultural interests and production excellence in the region.
