Brenda Quinn Ingram

Brenda Quinn Ingram

 September 5, 2025, 76, Goldsboro —

Brenda Quinn Ingram, 76, was welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior late Friday evening, September 5, 2025, at her home, surrounded by the love of her family.

Brenda was born on September 8, 1948, in Lenoir County to the late Adolph and Gloria Mae Quinn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Ray Ingram; and her brothers, Raeford Quinn and Haywood Quinn.

Brenda was a woman of deep faith and a heart devoted to her family. She worked diligently throughout her life, first with Kinston Shirt Factory for 20 years and later retiring after 27 years with Electrolux. Yet her greatest calling was being the best wife, mama, grandma, sister, and friend. She lived her life with open hands, always ready to give, to help, and to love.

Brenda found joy in simple pleasures—listening to good gospel music, completing her crossword puzzles, and gathering her family together. Family reunions and celebrations held a special place in her heart, as she cherished every opportunity to be surrounded by those she loved.

Her faith in Christ was her anchor. A faithful member of Community Baptist Church, Brenda delighted in worshiping with her church family. Serving God and living out His love was always at the center of her life.

A service to celebrate Brenda’s life will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with Pastor Michael Lewis officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. Interment will follow on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. in Wayne Memorial Park.

Brenda is survived by her sons, Allen Ray Ingram (Dorothy), Joey Lynn Ingram (Marquita), and Chad Matthew Ingram (John); her grandchildren, Bradley Combs, Brandon Ingram, Cody Ingram, Sydney Ingram, and Morgan Ingram; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Gaynell Carmack and Sharon Hardison; and several nieces and nephews. She will also be lovingly remembered by her faithful K-9 companion, Peanut.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Brenda’s memory to Cures for the Colors, SMOC, 203 Cox Blvd., Goldsboro, NC 27534.

Services are entrusted to Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
