WAYNE COUNTY, N.C. — The Rosewood Eagles will defend their home field Friday night when they face the North Johnston Panthers at Branch Pope Field in what promises to be one of the area’s most compelling high school football matchups of the season.
The game, designated as the Pittman Agner Law High School Football Game of the Week, kicks off at 7:00 p.m. following the UNC Health Wayne Pre-Game Show at 6:30 p.m.
Both teams enter the contest looking to make their mark in what local officials are calling a “clash of grit, pride, and Friday night glory.” The Eagles will have the advantage of playing on their home turf as they seek to build momentum in front of their home crowd.
Fans unable to attend can catch all the action on FM 98.3 WGBR or stream the game live at GoldsboroDailyNews.com. The broadcast is powered by U.S. Air Force Recruitment.
The game represents the continuation of Friday night football tradition in the region, highlighting the fierce rivalries and community pride that define high school athletics in eastern North Carolina.
Branch Pope Field is expected to be packed as both communities rally behind their respective teams for what organizers promise will be an “electrifying” contest under the Friday night lights.
