GOLDSBORO, N.C. — A 23-year-old Goldsboro man was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries following a shooting incident in the Dupont Circle area Thursday evening.
The Goldsboro Police Department received reports of shots fired at approximately 7:02 p.m. on August 29, 2025. While officers were in route to the scene, the victim, identified as Tyjon J. Langston, arrived at UNC Health Wayne Emergency Department seeking treatment for his injuries.
Langston was subsequently transported to ECU Health Medical Center, where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
The department’s Crime Scene Unit responded to the Dupont Circle location to process evidence and assist with the ongoing investigation. Police have not released information about potential suspects or the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
The investigation remains active, and authorities are seeking assistance from the public.
