The Management and Staff of Williams & Ashford Funeral Directors join with the Davis and connected families to announce the earthly departure of Mr. Taylor Lawrence Mobley Davis, 37, of Fremont, NC.

Mr. Taylor Lawrence Mobley Davis was born on November 2, 1987, to Sabra Brown and Thurmond Llwell Mobley. He departed this life on August 12, 2025, in Fremont, North Carolina.

Taylor attended Wayne County Public Schools and later earned his GED. Despite the many challenges life presented, he always held his head high and pressed forward with resilience and strength. Above all, he loved his children, family, and friends deeply. To know “T-Da Prince” was to appreciate his vibrant personality and unique style. He had a passion for fashion, particularly his Polo clothes, Jordans, Timberlands, and his signature color, purple.

Taylor was preceded in death by his parents, Thurmond Llwell Mobley and Sabra Brown; adoptive father Chester R. Davis; brother Terence Davis; paternal grandparents William Eugene Mobley (Viola); aunt Pamela Campbell; and uncle Mitchell Mobley.

He is survived by his daughter Aahmira Darden (Goldsboro, NC); two daughters he loved as his own, Ava G. Howell and Mariah R. Howell (both of Greensboro, NC); brothers Joshua Davis and Mitchell Davis (both of Fremont, NC), and Michael Mobley (Atlanta, GA); adoptive mother Georgia “Cookie” Davis (Fremont, NC); uncles Terry (Vanessa) Mobley, Gene (Alice) Mobley, and Kevin Mobley (all of Gastonia, NC); aunts Robin Mobley, Lisa (Tracy) Sanders (both of Gastonia, NC), and Jerol “Shae” McCulloch (Atlanta, GA); a special friend, Susan “Lucky” Davis (Fremont, NC); as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
