GOLDSBORO, NC – Wayne Community College’s Workforce Continuing Education Services celebrated the graduation of 17 students from its Cosmetology and Natural Hair Care Specialist programs during a recent ceremony.
The graduates completed their training at Civella Beauty Academy in Goldsboro and received certificates marking their successful completion of the rigorous coursework required for professional beauty industry careers.

Comprehensive Training Programs
WCC’s Cosmetology program provides students with comprehensive training designed to meet licensure requirements established by the North Carolina Board of Cosmetic Art Examiners. Students receive hands-on instruction in multiple specialty areas, including haircuts, hair coloring, scalp treatments, manicures, pedicures, and facial treatments.
The Natural Hair Care Specialist program focuses specifically on natural hair care techniques and includes instruction in essential professional skills such as sanitation protocols, anatomy, client consultation, shampooing techniques, and specialized natural hair care methods. Students must complete all required contact hours before becoming eligible to apply for examination through the North Carolina Board of Cosmetic Art Examiners.
