Bobby Jeffery “Doc” Barnes, 67, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2025 at his home. Born on September 11, 1957 in Wake County, he was son to Bobby E. Barnes and Gladys Leggett Barnes.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Kenly Funeral Service. A memorial service to honor Jeffery’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Stan Matthews officiating.

Jeffrey was survived by his father, Bobby E. Barnes; his sisters, Bonnie Poole and husband, Steve, Yvonne Scott and husband, Larry; his brother, Russell Barnes; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Leggett Barnes.

Services have been entrusted to Kenly Funeral Service.
