Jesse Franklin Parrish, 66, passed away peacefully at Somerset Court on Thursday, July 31, 2025. Born in Forsyth County, he was the son of the late Elmer Parrish and Vivian Bridgers Parrish.

In addition to his parents, Jesse is preceded in death by his sister, Susan Parrish.

Jesse is survived by his wife, Paula Webb Parrish; son, David Parrish and wife, Vanessa; grandchildren, Roman and Bella Parrish; and nephew, Phillip Kostelecky.

Jesse was a skilled auto mechanic for many years. Known for his talent in building drag racing cars, Jesse’s craftsmanship and dedication were unmatched on and off the track.

He had a deep love for Westerns, a fascination with firearms, and a personality that made him instantly likable to everyone he met. Outgoing and full of life, Jesse never met a stranger—and animals seemed to love him just as much as people did.

Jesse will be laid to rest in a private setting.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Johnston County Animal Services 115 Shelter Way, Smithfield, NC 27577 in memory of Jesse.
