WAYNE COUNTY, N.C. – Special Olympics Wayne County will present its annual Miss Lovelies Pageant on Saturday, August 2, at 1:00 PM being held at the Paramount Theatre, celebrating the talents and achievements of young women in the special needs community.

The Miss Lovelies 2025 Pageant will feature contestants competing in three categories: evening gown presentation, talent showcase, and a question-and-answer segment. The event is designed specifically for girls in the special population, providing them with an opportunity to demonstrate their individual skills and personalities in a supportive, celebratory environment.

The pageant gives participants a chance to shine and showcase their unique talents while building confidence and self-esteem. The organization has been hosting this beloved annual tradition to honor and empower young women with intellectual disabilities.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Special Olympics Wayne County, supporting the organization’s ongoing programs and services for individuals with intellectual disabilities throughout the region. The funds raised will help continue providing year-round sports training and athletic competition opportunities for local Special Olympics athletes.
