Charles Harold Daly, Sr., 82, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, July 25, 2025, at UNC Rex Hospital in Raleigh. Born on September 14, 1942, in Wayne County, Charles was the son of the late John Benjamin Daly and Ethel Parks Daly. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Paula Daly; sister, Dorothy Daly Strickland; and brother, John Preston Daly.

Charles lived a life of faith, service, and devotion to his family. He retired as a territorial manager with Mutual Beverage in Raleigh, where he built lasting relationships and was respected for his integrity and work ethic. A faithful member of Walker Memorial Church, Charles lived out his Christian values through his kind heart, generous spirit, and unwavering love for others. He was also a proud member of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Association, demonstrating his commitment to his community.

A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Charles cherished time spent with his wife and family. Whether gathered around the dinner table or a lazy afternoon watching a ballgame, his quiet strength and love were always present. He found joy in cheering on NC State basketball and watching Nascar races, passions he enjoyed sharing with loved ones.

Charles is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Jean Daly; his sons, Harold Daly and Paul Daly; daughters, Rhonda Jackson and husband, Todd, and Angie Lane and husband, Larry; grandchildren, Brittany Clemens and husband, Jonathan, Jordan Hinnant and husband, Spencer, Ali Aycock and husband, Tim, Justin Jackson and K.B. Narron; and great-grandchildren, Jalyn Crook, Brylie Crook, Ella Hinnant, Jax Hinnant, Tyson Aycock, and Mackenzie Aycock. He is also survived by his sister, Barbara Ann Daly Thompson and husband, David and brother-in-law, Clyde Grimes.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a service to celebrate Charles’ life at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Barry Weyant and Rev. Pete Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Pineview Cemetery in Seven Springs.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Charles’ memory to Walker Memorial Church, 2862 NC Hwy. 111 South, Seven Springs, NC 28578.
