Bobby Eugene Reeves, 66, of Dudley passed away Friday morning, July 11, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Bobby was born in Forsyth County on August 11, 1958 to the late Richard Herman and Helen Owens Reeves. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Goldsboro and received his Salvation on March 10, 2011. While growing up, he enjoyed singing gospel music on the radio with his family and to this day loved playing the piano, guitar and writing his own songs. Mr. Reeves was retired from Dixie Chemical of Goldsboro after 40 years of dedicated service which is now located in Kinston. He was a jack of all trades and will missed by all. He was also a Pro Bass fisherman for FLW.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Marie Smith Reeves; four sons, David Grice (Susanne), James Fountain, Charlie Fountain (Nora) and Daniel Fountain; two daughters, Deborah Reeves (Lewis Alphin) and Angel Campbell (Mason); two brothers, Danny Reeves (Dottie) and Timmy Reeves; one sister, Deborah “Debbie” Nichols (Allen); his grandchildren, Destiny Scott, Sarah Reeves, Kylie Reeves (daughters of Deborah Reeves,) Dylan Campbell, Payton Campbell, Mason Campbell Jr. (Angel’s and Mason’s children), Wesley Fountain (son of James Fountain,) Nathanael and Sophi Fountain (Charlie’s children,) Selena Grice (daughter of David and Suzanne.) and his nieces and nephews, Dixie Gurley, Paige Reeves, Jennifer Reeves, Kevin Chavez, Chris Nichols, Jonathan Reeves, Jason Faulkenberry and D.J. Reeves.
In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Reeves; his sister, Janie Maggard; brother-in-law, Harold “Clayton” Maggard; his sister-in-law, Alicia Reeves; his nephew, Harold Maggard Jr. and his niece, Tiffany Reeves.
